Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washer -- model 27082 - Kenmore Washer


We purchased one of Sears ’ top-of-the line Kenmore Elite Oasis HE washers -- model 27082. Not only were there significant load-balancing problems causing extremely loud rocking, when the Sears repairmen came to repair the knocking and rocking problem, we discovered that the entire interior frame was completely corroded (not rusted, but corroded!) The appearance of the interior frame was like that of a washer that had been abandoned and exposed in a junkyard for the past two decades. The balancing problems and corrosion were so severe that their own Sears servicemen recommended that I purchase a new washer (from Sears, of course). My new tile floor was ruined from the rust and corrosion.

Most infuriating, Sears’ dishonest Customer Service Department was never forthright in revealing that these high-priced Elite Oasis HE washing machines were overburdened with significant mechanical problems. My brother-in-law showed me the product reviews for this washer and I was stunned! I requested a refund for this “lemon,” and the Sears Customer Service Department made a magnanimous offer to resolve this problem with a 10% discount on another Sears washer, which is truly preposterous. Sears has proven that they are hardly inclined to stand by their products. Over the past 30 years, I’ve been a regular Sears customer, but I will never buy another Sears appliance.

I will be joining the class action suit against Sears for (1) deceitful salesmen not being truthful when asked about the quality of their products, (2) gross product negligence, (3) damage to my floors, and (4) concealing any knowledge of these problems.

I have owned this washer and spent $1,000 fixing their loose chip problem. As we speak it is giving me the F51 code and I am banging it to try to make the sensor work even though this tells me it's worked its way loose.

SEARS should have made good and replaced this for me as THEY KNEW FULL WELL that this problem existed.

This Kenmore Oasis HE 27082 Top Load Washer is a LEMON.

Don't bother contacting Sears Cares because they do not care. I also have this lemon of a washing machine and have had repeated parts replaced. Now, at 5 yrs old, A PART IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE! How can Whirlpool not have parts for a 5 yr old machine???? $1,000 for a machine and in 5 yrs I should trash it?? They wanted to offer me $150 toward a new $1,000 machine!!!! Sears should have their pants sued off and so should Whirlpool for making such garbage. I am beyond myself with ange!

My mother purchased a Kennmore Oasis washer from Sears as well and when I called in for questions regarding replacement of the washer I was told that under the contract the washer needs to have a service call 4x within a 12 month period. I am not sure if you know anyone who would have 4 service call in 12 month period oh wait I forgot the part of parts needing to be replaced with in a 12 month period. This just seems irresponsible on Sears part by writing these policies to convenience themselves as opposed to just taking care of the customer to make them happy. My parents have been Sears customers for many many years and to be treated like this is unacceptable. I will be continuing to blog about this until this unit gets replaced. if someone wants to contact me they can but otherwise I will proceed forward.
