SEARS BRAND NEW FREEZER BROKEN - Sears Kenmore Freezer


Decided to replace my 19 tear old Kenmore deep freezer with a new larger MORE EXPENSIVE model. Orderered on line due to lack of time to go to store. WORST MISTAKE EVER. Have been a devoted Sears Kenmore patron for 20 years including thousands of dollars just in Protection Agreements....Received freezer and it defrosted and melted within 2 days for no reason. Then it formed half inch thick frost on every surface for the whole 8 feet of the appliance. Called sears and they assigned a 3RD PARTY appliance repair company. CNE Appliance Repair in Connecticut. I was given a time frame between 8a and 12p. At 1230ish...called sears. They couldnt get in touch with CNE but I did and was greeted by a nasty lady who told me that they aren't Sears so they will be here between 4p and 7p. Ok....took off day of work for nothing. Anyway...at 650pm, I got a call from some repair guy at CNE appliance repair telling me he was far away. Wanted to know what problem was so I told him. In a nutshell...I was instructed to defrost the freezer myself with a blow dryer. As i got very annoyed it was obvious this guy didnt want to even come. Very patronizing. Didnt listen like he was even hearing me. I got angry waiting all day and then for him to call me and tell me he didn't need to come.....he was very happy I would resolve it myself. It has been 3 complaints to sears regarding no service call and the fact the freezer is a week old. I got met with more patronizing nonsense and assured I could get a Sears repair man asap. Ok...days later...no call re my freezer. But I did get a survey emailed to me re the freezer purchase....weird...no call about my brand new broken freezer but I did get a survey. Blasted sears for not sending a Sears repair man and hiring a miserable company like CNE Appliance Repair to NOT do Sears' work. I did get a call within 20 minutes or so to question my poor survey. I am currently taking out a small claims suit. I will NEVER again purchase a major appliance or warranty from this company. Do yourself a favor... ..you will get stuck with any customer service issues. What a disappointment.
