I have been purchasing Sears products for 30 years...this is the worst experience. Purchased a Kenmore 1hp Food Disposer (model #17560591 Serial # 09121012583) and the following day had a plumber install it. The item was defective from the outset and I immediately called the Sears Warranty group. The nightmare starts now...2 hours on the phone with 6 different people and everyone was kicking the can down the street...the result is that Sears will not pay to reinstall they will just replace the product...so for a defective item that I never used I will have to pay for re-installation charge...My advice is to not purchase any Sears product unless you intend to have Sears install it for you...unfortunately they do not say that in any of their documentation on the internet...As a result I will never buy a Sears product...

I too have problems with my Sears garbage disposer. First of all, the last one was in there for 24 years.

I just had a plumber in here, and he said I needed a new garbage disposer after less than one year.

When I was growing up, we never had ANY problem with Sears service, or their products, that continued into my young adulthood.

Now, under Eddie Lampert, Sears is a differenct animal.

Net, I am supposed to wait 2 weeks for the Sears technician to come out and confirm what the first plumber said before I can get a replacement garbage disposer. That is unacceptable.

Also, I have been on the phone with at least 8 people trying to get that time shaved. The supervisor has YET to call me back. I was not allowed to be transferred to his queue, because supposedly, that would ALSo leave me on the phone of the first service person.

That is ridiculous.

I DO have the emails noted above, only because I googled this problem, and I will be contacting the so called Sears cares people.
