Sears delivery service middle man need to wake up!!!!


Sitting outside in my car during the month of July, in NC is no joke. We are having a house build and delivery was scheduled for that day between 14:45 and 16:45. As instructed by the sears delivery confirmation lady, the night before; I called at 9:00 and confirmed that my delivery will be delivered. So, sitting outside the house that is still under construction; waiting for the truck to show up. I called at 15:00 to get an updated status on my delivery and was told that they will send a message to the driver to contact me with an update. 45 minutes later still no contact with the driver. I called again and this time they put me thru to the "store" that will be delivering my refrigerator. I spoke to Mark and he took my phone number and said he will call the driver and call me back in a few minutes. Never got that call either. Made another 4 calles to the same 1800 number and the same run around. At 17:30 I made one more call to the same number. This time a lady with an Indian accent told me that the driver will be there soon and that I am next for delivery. She then told me to hold so she could contact the store that is responsible for my delivery. After being on hold for about 15 minutes, she returned and told me that my refrigerator is not in stock and will be delivered from the factory the next day, and delivered the day after. I could not believe what she just said. After repeating to her, the information I got from her; she got flusterd and rude. She then informed me, that "we" will have to reschedule my delivery. So I did. Frustrated and angry I stopped at the local Sears store, and there it was... My refrigerator in its box, with name tag and all. I spoke to one of the managers and it was explained to me that there was no delivery scheduled for that day. He also showed me the print out of deliveries they receive every morning from the delivery service and there was no mention of my delivery. He also explained that even though, they have the package they can not deliver it with out that schedule.
So, I guess that the people running the so called "delivery" phone service has no freaken idea what they are doing. It would have been better if they just told me the truth, when I called the firts time and not give me the run around, needless to say " lie to me" to cover there bud's and blame it on the delivery store.
I will tell all of my friends about this and warn them to avoid any service connection with this part of the sears service. They are LIERS and INCOMPITANT in their jobs.
Just to make this clear, this is not to be blamed on the store, it is the LACK of communication between phone opperators and the store.
