WILL NEVER BUY FROM SEARS AGAIN - FOR ANYTHING - Kenmore Refrigerator

Purchased a Kenmore refrigerator less than 2 years ago. It has not functioned since October, as parts have been on order. Just repaired last week...not working again.
I have called numerous people and gotten no where. Sears was kind enough to offer me $500 toward a new refrigerator, after I bought a repair warranty for $300! I now have $2800 wrapped up in a refrigerator that lasted a year. Try going through the holidays without a refrigerator, and see if you would be happy with a $200 discount! I am unable to get anyone to respond. Someone please help!
C Britten

This situation remains unchanged. Sears is not willing to be involved at all (the above post is purely for entertainment purposes, they have no intention of replacing the product). Sadly, even all of the "Sears" repairmen feel the refrigerator is a lemon. We are now waiting on the 5th repair to be done. It is 2 years old, and has been broken longer than it has worked.
Sears tells me that the manufacturer has a 1 year warranty, and that is it. Should a customer be satisfied with a $2500 refrigerator that lasted one year? Sadly, we were also told that we would receive the Energy Star Appliance Rebate by the sales person at Sears for this particular appliance when we purchased it, only to find out that they lied, and this particular model DID NOT QUALIFY! So please be warned that the sales person will tell you "anything" in order to make the sale.
They are acknowledging that it is a lemon, by offering to let me purchase an extended warranty for an additional $300, and that will provide me with a $500 credit toward a new refrigerator! In a nut shell....$200 credit for my $2500 purchase! Would anyone in their right mind be satisfied with this? NO!
DONT BUY FROM SEARS. We learned the hard way, and we are hoping to protect other customers from making the same mistake.

Dear C Britten:

Please accept our sincere apologies for the problems you have experienced with your refrigerator. I certainly understand your frustration with having a refrigerator that has not been working properly for over four months. Then, when our technician was able to fix the refrigerator, it is broken the next week. This is not the type of service that Sears is known for or the type of service that you deserve. My name is Susan with Sears Social Media Support Escalations team. We are a single point of contact for escalated issues and would like to look into this situation further and offer our assistance toward a resolution.

At your convenience, please contact our office via email at smsupport@searshc.com so you don’t have to continue to be frustrated by this. In the email, please provide a contact phone number and the phone number the refrigerator was purchased under (if different than the contact phone number) and we will call you directly. Also, in your email, please provide the screen name (C Britten) you used to post on this site, for reference to your issue, and we do look forward to talking to you soon.

Thank you,

Susan R.
