push mower warranty - Sears Lawn Mower

i bought my push mower little over 2 years ago, but had problems with it by the end of the first year, i also bought the 3 year warranty so i wasn't in a hurry to take it back. the problem was, it runs erratically, revs up and down on its own, will not run at a continuous rpm! when i bought the warrant, i was told "this covers everything, any problems with it, take it back, it will be covered". when i dropped it off at the service center, the guy tells me of possible charges due to normal wear ie spark plug and or new blade and this could be up to 35 dollars, so i sign, thats understandable. but when they call back with a price of 70 dollars, now i feel shafted! number 1 they lied to me at the store over what was covered and number 2 they lied to me at the service center on how much it could cost! don't waste your money on a warranty from sears !

Dear jim12345,

My name is Greg and I'm part of the Sears Cares Escalation team. I found your post here and wanted to reach out to you and offer my apologies for the situation that has occurred with your mower repair. I also would like to apologize for any misunderstanding or misleading information you may have received at the time of purchase on your protection agreement. Expendable parts, things that wear out through normal use, such as spark plugs, cutting blades, etc are not covered but mechanical malfunctions and failures are. All this being said, we do value you as a customer and would definitely like to see what we can do to help. The Sears Cares Escalations team is a single point of contact for escalated concerns which means we step into a situation and handle it start to finish with one Case Manager and we would very much like to speak to you regarding these problems you have been experiencing. At your convenience, please contact my office via email at smsupport@searshc.com so we can help. In the email, please provide a contact phone number and the phone number your tractor repair was set up under (if different than your contact number) and we will contact you directly. Also, in your email please provide the screen name (jim12345) for reference to your issue. Again, my apologies for all of the difficulties and frustrations you have encountered and we look forward to talking to you soon.

Thank you,
Greg G.
