ORIGINALLY HAD SCHEDULED APPT WITH APPLIANCE REPAIRMAN ONLINE. THE NIGHT PRIOR TO SCHEDULED SERVICE DATE I DID RECEIVE A CALL FROM SEARS SAYING THE REPAIRMAN WOULD BE THERE. ONE THE DAY OF THE SCHEDULED VISIT THE REPAIRMAN WAS A NO SHOW. I WAITED ALL DAY I FINALLY CALLED SEARS CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 4:45 P.M. THEY TOLD ME NO REPAIRMAN WAS IN MY AREA & WOULD I LIKE TO RESCHEDULE; AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGEMENT I AGREED TO GIVE SEARS THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT.

ON THE RESCHEDULED DAY THE REPAIRMAN DID SHOW UP. I HAD TWO PROBLEMS WITH MY REFRIGERATOR. 1) LEAK IN REFRIGERATOR, WHICH WAS REPAIRED FOR $198.
2) ICEMAKER MAKING HOLLOW ICE. WHEN I TOLD THE REPAIRMAN THE PROBLEM HE IMMEDIATELY SAID IT WAS A PLUMBING PROBLEM & THAT SEARS DOES NOT DO PLUMBING REPAIRS (WHICH I FIND ODD SINCE SEARS ORIGINALLY INSTALLED THE WATER LINE FOR THE ICEMAKER). I STATED THE SADDLE VALVE PROBABLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS IT WAS PROBABLY NOT ALLOWING ENOUGH WATER PRESSURE. I TOLD HIM I HAD JUST HAD THE SADDLE VALVE REPLACED IN THE SPRING. I ASKED HIM IF IT COULD BE A CLOGGED LINE INTO THE ICEMAKER OR THE WATER INLET/INTAKE VALVE? HE SAID NO. I DID NOT CHECK THE WATER INLET/INTAKE VALVE OR THE WATER LINE GOING INTO THE ICEMAKER TO SEE IF CLOGGED. HE ONLY LOOKED AT THE COPPER WATER LINE TO SEE IF KINKED, WHICH IT WAS NOT.
ATFER REPAIRS WERE DONE I WAS GOING TO PAY WITH MY SEARS GIFT CARD & SEARS CHARGE CARD; THE REPAIRMAN STATED THAT IT WAS A HASSLE TO USE BOTH CARDS. SO I WAS NOT ABLE TO USE MY SEARS GIFT CARD.

A FEW WEEKS LATER I CHECKED THE WATER PRESSURE & SADDLE VALVE MYSELF; BOTH OF WHICH WERE WORKING COMPLETELY/WELL.

I WENT TO SEARS PARTS STORE & BOUGHT THE WATER INLET/INTAKE VALVE FOR $42.

SURPRISINGLY AT THE PARTS STORE I WAS ALSO NOT ABLE TO USE MY SEARS GIFT CARD THERE EITHER. I WAS TOLD THE STORE HAD NOT BEEN REIMBURSED FOR THE GIFT CARDS IN SOMETIME & THAT IS WHY THEY DO NOT TAKE SEARS GIFT CARDS ANYMORE.

AFTER I REPLACED THE WATER INLET/INTAKE VALVE IN THE BACK OF THE REFRIGERATOR THE ICEMAKER IS NOW MAKING SOLID ICE.

I BELIEVE I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR AT LEAST PART OF THE REPAIR SERVICE SINCE THE REPAIRMAN DID NOT ADEQUATELY REPAIR BOTH ISSUES. I ALSO WASTED ONE DAY AWAITING REPAIRMAN TO SHOW UP ON THE ORIGINAL SCHEDULED REPAIR DATE. THEN I ALSO HAD TO TAKE MY TIME AND AT ADDITIONAL COST TO REPAIR THE ICEMAKER.

I ALSO AM DISAPPOINTED I EMAILED SEARS CUSTOMER SERVICE REGARDING THESE ISSUES LAST FRIDAY AND DID NOT RECEIVE ANY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OR RESOLUTION.
