False Advertisementiw - Gazebo Swing
I purchased a Gazebo Swing on line and paid for assembly and set up. After the purchase was finalized, I called Customer Service to confirm that the item would be assembled and set up once delivered. I was told by the rep that "yes" I paid for assembly and set up and the delivery man will know to assemble it and set it up. Well today when the delivery man called to inform me they were delivering my Gazebo I asked if they would be assembling it and setting it up and the gentleman was very nice but he said "no" we don't do that. I told him I would call customer service about it. Customer service stated that yes, I paid to have the item assembled and set up but they don't do that. I asked to speak to the
Manager and she said she was sorry but they don't assemble and set up. I asked her why was I told that the item would be assmbled and set up when I purchased it and paid for it if they didn't perform that duty. I told her that was false advertisement and that I am a senior citizen and did not have anyone to assemble this item for me. If I had not been lied to in the begining just to get my money, I wouldn't have to go through this hassle and run-a-round with Sears . I plan to report this to the CEO. Senior itizens and no one else should be taken through this type of hassle & end up refusing the item.
