Runaround on my $319 Sears Smart Service Agreement re broken front load washer - Frigidaire front load washer


Purchased stackable front load Frigidaire washer and dryer from Edwardsville, IL Sears tore in 2010. Back in December, the washer stopped working because the door would not latch. On February 3, 2015, I purchased a $319 Sears Smart Service Agreement. First tech came, tried replacing the door latch, that didn't work. He diagnosed the problem as the control board. He ordered a control board. When it arrived, a second tech put it on and the washer still would not work, door would not close, couldn't run a cycle. He stated the machine wasn't fixable so I stated I wanted the promised $500 voucher. He said that was okay, then he called his manager and all of a sudden that was off the table. He said he had to order a new control board. That arrived yesterday. He put it on today, that didn't work. He tested all other parts, wiring and the door still won't latch. He again said I could get the voucher, apparently the call was closed and again his manager still won't issue the voucher. I have my washer in the middle of the kitchen and I've been without a washer and dryer for months now. I just spoke to someone on the phone with the Benefits Protection Department. She has the information from the tech who told his boss again that the machine isn't fixable, but she had to send an email to another manager and he will evaluate the situation and I bet he won't issue the promised voucher either. I've been a Sears customer for 30 years. Every appliance in my home was bought at Sears, but if this isn't resolved with the promised $500 voucher called in to the Edwardsville, Illinois store where I purchased my stackable washer and dryer (and I will have to buy a new dryer to match the new washer), I will be posting this on my Facebook page, Twitter, and contacting the Better Business Bureau for starters. How is Sears going to stay in business with service and treatment like this?
