Sears Cooktop - kenmore cooktop


We purchased a Sears Kenmore Cooktop last year when we remodeled our kitchen. 11 months after installed by Sears, I accidentally dropped a 6 1/2 ounce plastic cutting board on the edge of the cooktop and it cracked. We called the repair people, as we purchased the additional warranty for this product. The repair person came out and said, we can't fix it because of abuse from you. It was a plastic cutting board that hit the edge. These cooktops are suppose to be able to be used and cooked on with pots and pans. We have been through the ringer with Sears, back & forth with various people and to no avail, no one at Sears will stand behind the workmanship and warranty of their product. We have been loyal Sears customers for over 30 years. How sad it is when a business won't stand behind their product and the warranty... stand aside so they can take your money and not do anything for their customers.
