Sears return policy - Craftsman push mower
Bought a lawnmower form Sears Online store after receiving the mower I wanted to return it (unused) To purchase a large engine size. I took the mower to the local sears store with the return number, which the local store accepted, but they could not issue a refund on their computer because the price online was lower than the store price and the software would not allow the store to override the price. The store manager gave me a number to call customer service and have the online store give me the refund. The local store retained the lawnmower. I called customer service and got a contract person (not a sears employee) and the could not understand the problem ( not sure what country they were in but it wasnt the US. I finally got transferred to someone called an online specialist, same problem. They kept saying they wanted to open an investigation which would take 30 days, store has the lawnmower. Went back to the store and the store manager said to wait a few days and he would try to contact someone in management in Sears.Obviously they want to make the online return impossible to get. Worst case I can go back and get the mower I purchased and try to use it. I do not recommend buying online from sears. If I would have bought it at the local store I would have gotten a refund and would have been able to purchase a larger mower.
