Sears broken dryer
I will never purchase another item from Sears again despite 50 years cumulatively in my family purchasing appliances - mainly because Sears used to be known for great customer service. Now it is a lie. I am still paying for extended warranties on my appliances but I'm going to cancel them all. I have been waiting for 2 months for my fairly new dryer to be repaired! This despite hours and hours of phone calls, waiting, not being understood, being told to get my husband on the line, couldn't find my file, couldn't find the repair order, escalated (what to the moon), lied to, empty promises, no call backs, no service. I have spent $400 at the laundromat thus far with no end in sight. Parts not available - when I purchased the warranty I was not advised that the parts had to come from Mars...or whereever. and really not my problem. my problem is busy household, mountains of laundry, pouring rain, no dryer and hours and hours spent at the laundromat when I work full time, am single parent, etc. etc. etc. this is tantamount to theft and fraudulent misrepresentation. Some legal action should be taken against Sears. I'm contemplating it myself.
